BOOK REVIEW: Oh Pure and RadiantHeart by Lydia Millet

Oh Pure and Radiant HeartOh Pure and Radiant Heart by Lydia Millet

I'm being generous with a 4star rating on this book. I wanted to give it three and a half but you can't give three stars, however I did think it work was worth more than three stars. This is the story of ann who meets three of the scientists who worked on the atom bomb. Her whole life changes that day. The scientist want to go to Washington DC and do a demonstration for peace because they want to atone for what they did making the atom bomb and the destruction that it caused. Along the way they meet all sorts of different people who affect them into they are in different ways. I really liked the story and the ideas behind it but I kind of had a really love hate relationship with it. While I liked the story and I enjoyed reading it I felt like it time to move painfully slow and it's certain parts could have moved a little quicker. And that made me lose interest in some parts of the story that I may have liked otherwise. Overall it was a good book the characters were good, I really liked the ideas that were trying to be explained in the book if redemption.
