Christmas 2008

Christmas 2008 has been fun and interesting. We have had so many celebrations to go to that I am ready for it to be over though! And we still have my husbands big family thinkg next weekend! Eeeeek! We had a big family get together with my family, my inlaws came to our apartment, we went to my moms house to see my parents, sisters, grandma and aunt, and yesterday my aunt and uncle from syracuse came to my moms house so we went there again. Lilith and Mary-jayne made out like bandits and I didnt do so bad myself. I think Liliths favorte gift from "Santa" was her tinkerbell table. She looked up when she opened it and said "Oh thank you santa!" She alreay wants Mary-Jayne to have tea parties with her :)
I ordered a couple of really cool things with my christmas bonus and got J some ram for the com, puter so WOW will run better.
Jeremiah got me some really cute bat earrings. My mom got me a vanilla scented bath set (may favorite) and a beautiful necklace. NIL and FIL gave me a gift card to AC Moore which I am itching to put to use! I really do need some more scrapbooking things :) My dad gave me 2 bottle of Franks Red Hot which I eat on everything. And we got some money and stuff too.
This is Lilith brushing her uncle Nicks hair with the brush MIL gave her.
This is a close up of Mary-Jayne in her new headband. I have a very similar picture of Lilith from this age.

Here is Lilith opening presents from my inlaws.

Lilith cheered for Santa when he came in and she ran right up to him at my family party.

Me and Mary-Jayne

I love this picture of Lilith playing with the christmas lights. It took forever to get a good one!

On a sad note though when we went to my moms house yesterday one end of her street was blocked off with crime scene tape. There was what appears to be a triple homicide at the house of someone I used to hang out with. Him and his uncle were two of the victims. I dont know who the third person was. They were really nice people and would do anything for a friend....RIP

What to say.....

So at first I was going to make this about my kids. But I realised that there is so much more to me and my life that I want to share so I am going to try and update this more often and just write. I have millions of random thoughts anyhow. I mind as well share tham.
But not tonight cause I am going to keep reading The Secret Life of Houdini and I dont want to put it down for to much longer.

Spider Tales

Last night I walked into the kitchen to make my younger daughter a bottle when a HUGE spider scurried across the floor. OK so it wasnt that big......maybe the size of a quarter when you factored in his legs and his body was the size of a mini m&m. He stopped moving when I came into view and I quick grabbed a cup and covered him with it. Then I was trying to figure out what to do with spider (now under a cup) on my kitchen floor. And also how to prevent my 2 year old from letting him out. She kepy running up to the cup and yelling "Stupid ant!" I tried to explain to her (while sloooowly moving her away) that it wasnt an ant, but a spider. To which she would growl "Stupid spider" I still dont know why she was growling it. I called my friend John who used to come over to kill my bees what to do. He told me to kill it but I refuse to kill a spider. They eat other bugs. I dont mind spiders so much as they stay outside or on my ceiling where they belong. I dont want big bitey spiders hanging around my kitchen floor. At this point I am worried that he was going to suffocate under the cup. So John tells me to slide a paper under a cup and flip it upside down. This apparently was a half hour task for me because I was so afraid to let the spider out outside. He was fast! I mean really, REALLY fast! In fact he almost did get out, but I slammed the cup down and he lost part of a leg. I wasnt to worried. I mean the little guy had 7 more. Johns girlfriend was in the backround yelling "just stomp on it!" So finally I get the paper over him, slide into my shoes, throw on a jacket and go to take him outside. My 2 year old wanted to go, but I didnt want to take time to get her shoes on too. So I get outside (I'm still on the phone with John) and dont you know he makes a beeline straight for my building! So I scoop him up. Now I am outside at 7PM with a cup filled with snow and a spider and my 2 year old has wandered to the building door with her shoes and is saying "Mommy put on shoes. Play outside" I ended up wandering down so he was between 2 different buildings. If he was going to go inside I was giving him 2 other options besides my building. I flung him across the yard (with the snow) and watched him scurry in the opposite direction o my building. And because of all this I did not get my laundry done....
Oh and if you are wondering why I referred to the spider as a "he" like my husband did it is because I didnt want to think about the fact that it might be a she and it might have laid eggs somewhere. Cause I dont want to think about the fact that I may someday have baby big spiders taking over my apartment.

December 10, 2008

Not a whole lot has gone on in the lst couplof days. I finally got the christmas decorations out of storage although I have yet to actually out anyhting up. Hopefully saturday wont be too crazy and I will be able to do it then. Mary-Jayne started rolling over yesterday. Here is a picture of her after her first roll:
Also she is enjoying sitting in the walker. I have to stuff a blanket in there though cause even though she has good head control her upper body control is still a little wobbly and I dont want her to wobble and me not catch her and have her hit her face on the toys.

Here is Lilith in one of her Christmas dresses. I was trying to get some good holiday pictures, but taking pictures of a 2 year old who does not want to sit still is near impossible!

This is the Christmas village me and Lilith put together. We had a lot of fun doing it. Lilith loves craft time. She ended up playing with it so much instead of leaving it alone that most of the peices are either lost or destroyed now. Its ok though. I just printed it off the internet and it is so much fun to watch her!

Blogging?

Mary-JayneLilith

Holiday Card I made of Both my girls

Soooooo.....I am new to this whole blogging thing, but figured I would give it a try. I am going to write about life, but mostly my sweet little princesses. Lilith is 2 and Mary-Jayne is almost 3 months old. It amazes me to watch them grow and change. Lilith comes up with some pretty funny (and sometimes not so funny) things to say. And today Mary-Jayne rolled over for the first time! Lilith loves her books and anything that has to do with Tinkerbell or Nightmare Before Christmas. I think that we have watched that movie so many times that I am sick of it!
